Rants and Raves

Nigel Marsh: "The reality of a working young family today is that there are thousands and thousands of people out there leading lives of quiet screaming disperation where they work long hard hours at jobs they hate, to enable them to buy thing they don't need, to impress people they don't like. Wearing jeans on a Friday isn't hitting the nub of this issue."

This quote got me thinking that, we'll..are we really in control of our lives? Are we controling our social mannerisms, from the way we dress to the way we act around co-workers? Our we being honest with ourselves for our own improvements or are we unknowingly putting ourselves out there to impress someone to get ahead.

There is a consistant pattern of negatation that we allow ourselves to work in. In our western cultures, this phenomona exists in work environments where images and perceptions of ones interest undermine  fundamental work objectives. Tendancies and behaviours are based around other perceptions instead of common goals. One ommiting themselves from the 'work image' or presumptiosous work behaviours is placing themselves at risk to be an ineligible candidate from non related work observations in  a non professional work environment.
